A large university in Washington Heights needed to upgrade their BAS and convert their chilled water plant to a variable primary distribution system. They needed a turn-key consultant that could manage every single part of the BAS upgrade.
Enica took care of everything –– from the major chilled water and boiler system infrastructure, down to terminal unit tracking pair airflow controls –– in the laboratory space. The 14-story laboratory research facility has critical animal vivarium and critical biosafety spaces that were taken into account during the upgrade.
The upgraded BAS system is estimated to save the facility yearly about $486,000 in energy cost, and resulted in better environmental control and a higher degree of visibility for operators.
