Retail On-Site Energy Management Program Delivers $145,000 in Annual Energy Savings

Enica successfully completed a 12-month On-Site Energy Manager engagement at a well-renowned retail space.

Enica successfully completed a 12-month On-Site Energy Manager (OsEM) engagement at a renowned retail space in NYC. Over the course of the project, Enica evaluated the building’s Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning system and controls to improve operational performance and reduce energy use. By taking a deep dive into the building automation system and working closely with facilities staff and controls contractor, we identified and prioritized practical energy-saving opportunities.

Enica’s 12-month OsEM engagements typically see less than 1-year returns for customers. The customer’s up-front fees could be ~$80k, but most engagements are able to unlock energy savings more than the customer’s upfront fees resulting in appealing financial gains in most cases. This engagement resulted in almost a ~3x return for the customer in year one! Over the next 10 years of annual energy savings, the customer will see approximately $1.5M cost avoidance resulting in almost 25x returns over their initial upfront costs.
